Our Process

1

INITIAL PROJECT MEETING

First, let's talk: you can call us, send an email, or fill out our quote request form here. We'll be in touch to arrange a phone or in-person meeting to discuss your project. This is your opportunity to tell us about your project and shape your vision. We will explore basic design ideas, hardware and layout options. A free ballpark cost estimate will be provided based on our experience with similar projects. It is helpful if you can provide approximate measurements, diagrams, sketches and inspiration photos to guide our discussion.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

If you approve of the estimated cost, we will send a design and development form. Submitting this form and a design deposit is your way of letting us know you are ready to move ahead with formal design. We encourage your questions and participation during this stage as together we work through the complete design process. Plans will be drafted, 3D renders modelled, and sample doors presented so you can visualize and feel your project come to life. We will liaise with our trade partners to develop a comprehensive schedule for project completion. Our goal at this stage is to do as much work up-front as possible so your project progresses without issue. The design and development deposit is credited back on your final invoice if you decide to commission the project with us.

FINAL QUOTE AND APPROVAL

Once design and development is complete we will schedule a final meeting between you and our design team where we will review the entire project. A quote will be presented showing all applicable costs, and 3D renders, overall measurements, cabinet layout, material selections, hardware and accessory selections verified. A sample of your chosen finish styles will also be presented for you to keep. During this meeting we will ask for your written approval of the design and development plan. A deposit (50% of the total project cost) is your commitment to purchasing Parkhill's cabinetry and millwork, and is required for the job to move to production.

PRODUCTION AND INSTALLATION

Yes we build all our own cabinets, and this stage is completely on us. We'll keep you updated on the progress with photos and videos. You are welcome to arrange a visit to our production facility—we've found over the years clients enjoy being included in the build process and like to see their project evolve from raw materials into their dream vision!

Production typically lasts 4-6 weeks depending on project size and complexity. We'll use the best available materials, techniques and wood finishes to manufacture a beautiful and functional product that just simply works. Once production is complete we'll arrange a suitable delivery date and then professionally install your new custom cabinetry.
